After installing the Vail SIP TIM, you will see 4 Vail services in the Services control panel:

  • VailTimCallManager
  • VailTimCall
  • VailSIPTIMSoap
  • VailSIPTIMCSTA

The Services control panel can be accessed through Start->All Programs->Administrative Tools->Services .

If the Vail services do not appear in this services control panel, or if the Vail services are not starting properly, you will need to reinstall the Vail SIP TIM:

  1. Stop all the Vail services
  2. Back up the csta.conf.xml file
  3. Uninstall the Vail SIP TIM
  4. Reboot the machine
  5. Verify that all 4 Vail services do not appear in the services control panel
  6. Reinstall the Vail SIP TIM
  7. Restore the csta.conf.xml file
  8. Confirm that all 4 of the Vail services are in the services control panel in a stopped state
  9. Start TAS. This should also start all 4 of the Vail services
