Partnership Offers Faster Payback, Lower Risk for Field Service Management Applications
Deerfield, Ill. and Englewood, Colo. — March 30, 2005 — Vail Systems, an industry leader in VoiceXML and SALT voice hosting and Datria, a leader in packaged voice self-service for mobile field operations, today announced a partnership in which Vail will host Datria’s field service applications. By complementing its customer-premises applications with a hosted solution, Datria expects to offer its customers lower start-up costs, faster payback, and reduced risk.
Datria's customers have traditionally bought licenses to the company's packaged Web-based applications and maintained the voice and data infrastructures within their own facilities. The partnership with Vail Systems provides another choice. Vail will host the voice and telephony infrastructure at its facilities while customers continue to control the application and client data at their own site.
"Many companies with field service organizations do not have extensive experience with voice applications," said James Greenwell, chairman and CEO of Datria. "By offering a hosting alternative, we can help our customers reduce project risks, deploy more quickly, and avoid large upfront expenses. We chose Vail because they have a track record of reliability and of incorporating new technologies with minimal disruption – which insulates our customers from technical uncertainty."
"There are two major growth trends in the voice industry today," said Jim Whiteley, President and CEO of Vail Systems. "The first is packaged applications and the second is employee-facing applications that will take the industry beyond the call center. Partnering with Datria helps us capitalize on both these trends and positions us well for the future."
Datria's Ticket Management TM suite is immediately available as a hosted solution, priced as a per-minute service.
